These icons are used by BeOS, the operating system of the first computer of Be Inc., the BeBox.
If you don't know what the BeBox is, look at their Web site on the Internet : <http://www.be.com>
In short, the BeBox has two PPC processors, pre-emptive multitasking, protected and virtual memory, a 100% native object oriented OS, great communications connectors, and is quite inexpensive : $2000-$2500 for a complete system.
BeOS is said be what Taligent should have been.
Those icons are taken from BeOS developer release #5. They should be as close as possible to the original, though the palettes of the two systems are not equivalent.
Legal Stuff
Those are plain inoffensive icons distributed as ResEdit files. They can't hurt any system unless you do it yourself!
DO NOT INCLUDE THESE ICONS ON ANY COMMERCIAL CD-ROMS WHATSOEVER!!!
The only exceptions are CD-ROMS that come with magazines or Info-Mac CD-ROMs.
